Visiting Marton Mills: The Heart of Our British Wool
We recently travelled to Otley, Leeds, to visit Marton Mills, the historic Yorkshire mill where our British-woven wool is made.
Founded in 1931, Marton Mills is one of the UK’s last remaining traditional textile mills, a place where craftsmanship and innovation work hand in hand. From spinning and dyeing to weaving and finishing, every stage of production happens under one roof, carried out by skilled artisans who have perfected their craft over generations.
Partnering with Marton Mills allows us to celebrate authentic British manufacturing, supporting local industry and ensuring each new fabric we use has traceable origins and exceptional quality.
We loved getting a guided tour of the mill and seeing the journey of our wool from start to finish. It was really special to meet the talented people who bring our fabric to life and to share how we turn their craft into our pieces.
When you wear one of our British Woven Wool pieces, you’re wearing a story of Yorkshire heritage, craftsmanship, and timeless design, woven with care in the heart of Britain.
